We love shooting in an almond orchard as much as the next Central Valley photographer, but it's nice to get the opportunity to shoot in one outside of blossom season - it's something different. This family portrait session, which Sarah and Josh traveled all the way from the Bay Area to do, really captures summer in Modesto. The resulting photos are full of green leaves, leading lines and dramatic lighting from all that summer dust.
It helped, of course, that Elodie has about the sweetest face a toddler could possibly have (and as much mischief as a recently uncaged pixie). She had all of us - her parents included - wrapped around her finger. And can you blame us, after seeing those big blue eyes and gigantic lashes? Thank you, Sarah and Josh, for giving us the opportunity to do a different sort of orchard portrait session, and for making us laugh. We hope you love these photos as much as we do!
